Day 24 – Working The Collar Shaping

HOW MUCH TO KNIT TODAY

Today is our last day of working on the back of the sweater!

Collar Shaping

You should be working on your collar shaping today. Please use the calculator below to determine the numbers you’ll use as you finish the collar.

At this point you will stop working the English Mesh Lace Stitch and continue in stockinette.

On the next row work X shoulder sts (Answer to #2), attach a new ball of yarn and BO X center sts (Answer to #1).
You should have X sts (Answer to #2) remaining, work to end.

If due to rounding you do not have enough shoulder stitches remaining after binding off your center stitches, back up until you have enough. It is more important to have matching shoulders than to bind off an exact amount of center sts.

Working both both shoulders at the same time (one ball or yarn will be connected to each shoulder), decrease 1 stitch at each inside edge on every X row (answer to #4) until you have decreased X sts on each side (Answer to #3).

Bind off all sts.

Congrats! You’ve finished the sweater front!

Now move on to Day 25
